In 2016, Jacob passed the European qualifying examination and became qualified European Patent Attorney, and in 2023 he became European Patent Litigator and entitled to represent parties before the Unified Patent Court.
His technical expertise covers several fields, giving him a good foundation for a fast understanding of our clients’ new technology. However, Jacob primarily works with mechanics, electronics and software, and has specialised extensive knowledge of physiological measurements and medical devices.
Jacob works with drafting and prosecuting patent applications, oppositions, and freedom-to-operate analyses, and he has years of experience in advising clients, ranging from startups to international companies, on patents and strategies for protecting intellectual property in general. He regularly gives lectures on these aspects at various occasions.
He is highly experienced in conducting oral proceedings before the EPO in both opposition and examination procedures, and further has experience as technical and patent law adviser in court proceedings in Denmark, as well as before the Unified Patent Court.
